Statement of faith:

Zest4Kidz is a Christian organization with the sole purpose of meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the less fortunate children we have the pleasure to reach. Zest4Kidz believe in spreading God’s love in all we do.

Zest4Kidz Project Work:

Zest4Kidz run project work in each and every country where we work. These projects are wide and varied. Separate to our Zest4Kidz trips these projects are funded by individuals or groups who want 100% of their money to go to the project. No administration costs are paid- simply money for the kids. 

    Mission of trips:

Zest4kidz is a non-profit making organization with charitable status (CHY 17374)

Our purpose is to bring attention, love and kindness to ‘less fortunate children around the globe’. We aim to facilitate the general public in contributing their time, money or energy in these projects.

Zest4Kidz have learned from the children that we reach that like all children what they really want is to have fun, attention, love and care from adults and from each other.

Many of these children have deep emotional wounds. They may have abandonment issues after being left to fend for themselves on the streets at temperatures that plummet to -20 or they may have serious psychological scarring after suffering horrific physical and mental torture such as the child soldiers of Uganda or child prostitutes of India.

Zest4Kidz help heal these wounds by showing the kids they are loved and cared for, and by supplying psychotherapeautic activities with the children and staff who work with them. Zest4Kidz use qualified professionals to do a full audit to assist in meeting ongoing needs including physical, environmental and psychological. Ongoing support is offered to each of these places including the training of staff or other outside agencies working with them.

All children learn from hearing stories and Zest4Kidz experts use storytelling to encourage and equip the young people they work with to enable them to live in the world they are growing up in. As Zest4Kidz is a Christian organization they also use Biblical stories in this method. Zest4Kidz are fully aware of all religions and denominations and are sensitive to how these stories are delivered. All children are included in our programmes.

     Sustainability of work:

This is the single most important part of what Zest4kidz does. We must ensure that the help we give is producing long term change for the children we reach. Zest4Kidz help mainly in the psychological rehabilitation of the less fortunate children. There fore we create long term change by:

1. We help the carers of the children, every time we visit the centres.

2. Every centre becomes a part of the Zest4Kidz family and ongoing needs are met.

3.  We fund the training of psychotherapists to maintain the emotional health of the children.

4. We ensure the trained psychotherapists  we fund work with the local community as well as our centres. 

5. We partner with local aid organizations who ensure the work continues.
